About us

Morrama is a London-based design and engineering studio.

We work from insight to manufacture, with an approach grounded in delivery. We get involved early — challenging assumptions and making decisions based on the realities of manufacturing, regulation, cost, and sustainability.

Our client work is informed by our Lab work, where we explore future scenarios, emerging technologies, and material innovation — helping brands make decisions today that stand up tomorrow.

If you are a funded startup or scaling brand looking to work in this way... let's talk.

Our impact

£230M exit

Over our 6+ year partnership with Wild we have developed a full suite of industry-first products, helping them raise over £7M in funding and exit to Unilever for £230M.

$20M raise

After developing their iconic cabin suitcase that has become the most recognisable luggage product in India, Mokobara have gone on to raise over $20M. There are now further Mokobara x Morrama products in the pipeline.

300 tonnes

Engineering the brands takeaway packaging with sustainability in mind, we made an industry-first switch to recycled PET, removing 300 tonnes of virgin plastic from Wagamama's supply chain each year.

Our process

Discover

We begin by understanding the system — not just the brief.

Working closely with our partners, we invest the time to understand context, constraints and ambition before defining direction. This phase defines what really matters, aligning user needs, business goals and long-term impact.

Define

Insight is only valuable when it’s translated into direction.

We synthesise our findings into a clear strategic vision — one that frames the challenge, sets ambition, and gives the project a strong point of view. This becomes the decision-making backbone for everything that follows.

Create

With a strategic foundation in place, we explore ideas with purpose.

Concepts are developed alongside narrative, ensuring each direction is grounded in relevance, feasibility and intent. Our work spans industrial design, engineering, materials and emerging technologies — always balancing innovation with responsibility.

Develop

We iterate thoughtfully, increasing fidelity as we go.

Design, engineering and sustainability considerations evolve together through prototyping, CAD development, CMF strategy and technical detailing. This phase is about making ideas real — resolving complexity, reducing risk and designing for manufacture from the outset.

Validate

Insight is only valuable when it’s translated into direction.

Deliver

Bridging the gap between design and production without compromising intent.

We prepare your product for manufacture through detailed engineering, production documentation and DfM refinement. Working closely with trusted manufacturing partners, we align on quality, cost and scalability before you commit to production.

Produce

We remain actively involved throughout tooling, pre-production and full-scale manufacturing.

By reviewing samples, resolving technical challenges and putting quality and testing protocols in place, we help ensure the highest product outcomes in production.

Launch

Design doesn't stop at manufacture.

We support communication, art direction and launch activity to ensure ideas land with clarity and credibility. More importantly, we help businesses think beyond release — designing products, systems and strategies that remain relevant in a changing world.
