This year’s Pentawards like many chose to forgo the IRL ceremony and deliver an online experience for all to join for free. Morrama were nominated for 2 awards for our work on the Wild Refill Deodorant in the Sustainable design - Body, skin, health and beauty category plus the People’s choice award.

Watching the show from our London design studio in Hackney we waited to hear the results. We are excited to say that we won the only gold for Sustainable design, although we missed out on the People’s choice award.

Silver winners include Nunaïa for their Mycelium packaging and an opensource pillbox by Saatchi and Saatchi. Both ideas using uncoated, renewable and compostable packaging designs. A clear indication to the appetite for innovative sustainable packaging solutions.

We don’t enter many awards but when we do they are for the purpose of promoting sustainably focused products. We believe by disrupting markets the big FMCG brand will follow suit and ultimately we will help lower the impact of products on our environment.

If you have a product idea you believe can make a difference, get in touch.
