Morrama's values
Team
The Morrama team grew a little this year with our amazing new hires Olive, Jazzy and Lucy alongside Baby Maya and puppy Penny. Apart from our client projects, we took on a new challenge with the official launch of Morrama Lab, a lot of fun, but useful training sessions and professional development internal plans.
B Corp pending
We started the year with a bang - completing our B Corp application. Whilst this is still in the process of being assessed, it’s resulted in a better wellbeing system for the team, becoming a living wage employer, increasing our charitable donations with 1% For The Planet membership, and creating more transparency across all aspects of the business.
If you are thinking about starting your own B Corp journey and want to chat, we’d be happy to share our story.
Industry influence
Using our growing recognition and network within the industry to instigate positive change, Jo has been working with our friends at Driftime and URGE to encourage the design industry to declare a climate emergency and recognise the impact or our design decisions. The Design Declares campaign has over 200 signatories from all over the country taking climate-positive action and will be rolled out globally in 2023.
Designing the future with Morrama Lab
Years in the making, we officially launched our Morrama Lab platform. . The Lab is a bespoke design methodology that combines future thinking with our innate understanding of materials and manufacturing. We will be using it to develop work on our own ideas, IP and ventures as well as a consultancy service that is available to brands.
Whilst we can’t yet share details on the client projects we are working on, Morrama Lab projects to date include the Lab Venture ECO FLO.
